Why Train Here?

Today, there are many fitness programs that a person can choose to start. The overwhelming majority of them focus primarily on a few goals only. Those goals are aerobic endurance and conditioning via interval training.  The most popular ways people train for these goals are by running for long distances, cycling, and boot camp-style group fitness classes.  They are so popular because there is a misconception that that exercise will help "tone" and lose weight.

At The New Gymnasium, we take a bottoms-up approach to fitness.  We start with a movement screen that will rule out any pain and display differences between your body's left and right sides. If there is no pain but differences, the trainee must address those first via specific exercises.

So the formula is "specific exercises for you + exercises to reach your goals = unique training plan."

Clients who train here and add other exercise routines report hardly any injuries. We will continue to adjust their program over many years.

One final note.  Our routines can be considered "workouts of the decade" versus "exercises for the day."
